Chamarro Neol (My People) is a 1952 R.C. Gorman watercolor from the gallery’s collection. In watercolor, Gorman’s line takes flight over translucent washes, a quieter register of his draftsmanship.
Like the rest of the gallery’s holdings, this work reflects Gorman’s devotion to the Native American women and Southwest landscapes that made his name. A strong addition to collections of Native American fine art, watercolor work, and the art of the Southwest.
Contact the gallery with any questions about this work; the team is glad to share additional documentation on request.
