Female Nude 25 is an R.C. Gorman oil pastel from the gallery’s celebrated collection. In oil pastel, Gorman worked at full intimacy: direct hand, rich pigment, and the soft edges that distinguish his original works on paper.
Like the rest of the gallery’s holdings, this work reflects Gorman’s devotion to the Native American women and Southwest landscapes that made his name. Works on paper are best framed under glass, where the pastel surface keeps its full depth of color. It suits collections focused on oil pastel work by R.C. Gorman and makes a grounded acquisition for collectors of Southwestern art and Native American fine art.
The gallery ships with care and can provide further photographs and condition details for this piece on request.
