The Red Blanket poster reproduces one of R.C. Gorman’s celebrated images for the gallery’s poster program. The artwork: A Navajo woman in purple-blue reclines on a geometric red blanket with white diamonds on warm tan ground. Printed as a well-produced reproduction, the poster brings the composition to collectors at its most accessible, and its standard proportions make framing simple.
As gallery merchandise, the poster reproduces Gorman’s imagery rather than serving as an original artwork. It suits living rooms, offices, dorms, and gifts for fans of Southwestern art and Native American art.
